Have they rewritten the Dick and Jane books yet? I was already reading before I went to kindergarten in 1952. We read the Dick and Jane series in grammar school in Rochester, New York back then.
From Dick and Jane to Jane Now Has a Dick....
I remember those Dick and Jane books from 1st grade. I was bored out of my skull, during reading circle, waiting for my classmates to struggle to read words like, “See Jane run. Run, Jane, run!”
