s/he’s looked at life from both sides now. And as weird as that is, s/he’d be a better governor than Gavin Newsome without even breaking a sweat. To win in California, I suppose you have to be at least a little weird, and s/he’s a lot weird, but not in a way that would effect public policy.

Are you kidding? The acceptance of the lie of transgenderism would have a huge and negative effect on public policy. It does not matter what HIS own views are. HIS election would just encourage the acceptance of that delusion which would definitely have an impact on public policy. Get real.
