President Trump will have to lean into this race, for the sake of unity, regarding this race. The field could get enlarged, salted with big mouths, all hat and no cattle, no real resume, or accomplishment, one Hollywood yahoo, and others.

The governor WAS poised to run for prez, but like Rick Perry went off the rails in Texas with the Gardasil vaccine for girls, Abbot over reached on the China 🇨🇳 Virus and then totally BLEW UP his chances in that Deadly February Freeze Fiasco, that nasty Board & those damndable greeny wind mills, as opposed to common sense and sitting on oil & gas energy.

People did die, certainly suffered. Unnecessarily is a Fact. ✋

How he could muster against say, a Mike Pompeo, or a Phenomenon like Rick DeSantis tells me that any national run by Abbot is probably more about creating a cash cow, as a political rainmaker for kingmaking.

One to watch.

I agree with you. Abbott may be running for a bigger job paying more money than Pres. Just running is supposed to give credibility.

The renewable energy funding has been happening a long time and may have started with Bush but for sure Perry. Legislators funded the infrastructure though without really looking at what was good investment. Texas Senate killed a bill that would extend favorable tax breaks at the local level for green energy but he House is trying to bring it up. In Texas, the House has a wimpy habit of electing RHINOs for Speaker and he appoints Democrat chairs to key committees, not all of them, which bottles up legislation. This Phelan seems better than the last guy because more issues are being legislated than before. Still, could be much stronger with R majority. Wimpy, unprincipled, and scared legislators.

For Texas news here are some really good sources:
Robert Pratt with Pratt on Texas-podcast on Podmatic and on radio in Lubbock 98.1 (I think) and Abilene 96.1 at 5pm weekdays. Podcasts always available. About an hour.

Texas Scorecard, Michael Quinn Sullivan and group. Up to date legislative news and conservative views.

The Texan, similar info to Scorecard but not same.

Most others are mainstream which means Democrat progressive agenda driven.

President Trump will have to lean into this race...

Did you just say 'lean into', Rita?

Should he 'circle back' too?

In related news:

I'm watching this show called 'Succession'(its good) on Amazon Prime that my cool mexican kidney doctor recommended. IIt APPEARS to be loosely based on Rupert Murdoch of FOX (not flattering).

In it, one of the wokesters used the term 'circle back'. It ws filmed in 2018. Dollars to donuts that the Psaki derp ripped it off from there. That's how they do it. Hollywood and derps cross-pollinate.
