Texas people, Abbott has another challenger in the primary. Not everyone is happy with Abbott’s unilateral China virus rulings and weak leadership. When DeSantis comes out strong you might see Abbott saying “me too!” with a watered down yet similar statement. Abbott has advisors from out of state trying to prep him for a presidential run. Remember the Ercot board and the PUC board were largely Abbott cronies. Those members are also largely gone after the big stink from the big freeze.
