Ohio Republican Party Censures, Calls for Resignation of Rep. Anthony Gonzalez
The Ohio Republican Party censured and called for the resignation of Rep. Anthony Gonzalez (R-Ohio) for his vote to impeach former President Donald Trump earlier this year.
On Friday, the state GOP’s governing board called on Gonzalez to resign after a divided vote. They also voted to censure him and nine other Republicans who impeached Trump and lent “their votes to support the unconstitutional, politically motivated impeachment proceeding against” him, according to the resolution.
Gonzalez “resorted to emotional conclusions that misplaced blame on President Trump, the President of Law and Order and America First,” their resolution read. “We believe that Congressman Gonzalez knowingly and willfully violated his oath of office.”
A spokesperson for the Ohio GOP confirmed to news outlets that Gonzalez and the nine other Republicans who impeached Trump were censured and called for Gonzalez’s resignation. The Epoch Times has contacted the Ohio Republican Party and Gonzalez’s office for comment.
“Over the long arc of history,” Gonzalez said earlier this year when he voted to impeach Trump, “I believe that this is the right vote, and I believe it sends the right message to all future presidents and anybody who considers taking the Oval Office.”
The state GOP’s vote Friday echoes similar votes to rebuke or censure several other Republican impeachment-supporting House members by local or state parties. Five out of the seven GOP senators who voted to convict Trump in February have faced similar blowback.

Angry Parents In Utah Disrupt School Board Meeting Chanting ‘No More Masks! No More Masks!’ (VIDEO)
Parents across the country have had it with school boards that are not serving their interests or the interests of their children.
In Utah this week, a group of angry parents disrupted a school board meeting and expressed their anger over masks.
The board ended up shutting down the meeting as a result.

Parents unhappy with classroom mask requirements have targeted school boards in several states with outbursts at public meetings and even lawsuits.
In Utah, police are investigating after the Granite School District was forced to abruptly end a school board meeting Tuesday evening following a disruption by anti-mask protestors. The protest comes less than two weeks before the end of the school year.
The board meeting was livestreamed on the district’s YouTube channel. At around the 40 minute mark of the video, those who are against the school district’s mask mandate became agitated, and chants of “no more masks!” filled the room.
Protesters then approached the front of the room where board members sat, abruptly ending the meeting.

Great News! Detroit Police Chief to Challenge Tyrannical Gretchen Whitmer for MI Governor [Video]
There is great news coming out of the state of Michigan!
The Chief of Police of the City of Detroit, James Craig, plans to run against the state’s tyrannical Governor Gretchen Whitmer. She’s been a disaster as governor by following the far-left agenda of keeping her state locked down for as long as possible. During the past year, the misery and destruction of businesses can only be blamed on Whitmer’s draconian lockdowns. If elected, Chief Craig would bring back the common sense that’s been lacking in the governor’s office with Whitmer. Politicizing the covid pandemic and ignoring common sense will ultimately mean the downfall of Whitmer.
The Detroit News is reporting the chief is expected to announce his retirement from the department on Monday, and he will follow that press conference with one discussing his future plans.
Chief Graig has acknowledged he discussed a candidacy with Republican officials: “I’m a lifelong public servant. I want to continue to serve.”
Republicans have been looking for a good “crossover” candidate who appeals to both sides of the aisle, and Chief Craig fits the bill. He is a common-sense leader who has the respect of the community.

Critical Race Theory’s Anti-American Agenda is all coming out thanks to lawmakers like Republican Lt. Governor of North Carolina, Mark Robinson and his education task force.
“Right now we have a lot of people on the left, on the hard left, who are using our education system basically as their own personal playground to push their own personal agendas. And we’re going to continue to fight to wrestle that away from them and get education back to a place where it should be,” Robinson said on Saturday.
According to NC Family, who hosted Robinson on their weekly radio program on Saturday:

Task Force—which stands for Fairness and Accountability in the Classroom for Teachers and Students—works to support parents, teachers, and students who are “willing to stand up for North Carolina’s future by exposing indoctrination in the classroom, and ensuring that our students are taught how to think, not what to think.”
