I was selected to assist with her homework/research.
I have been learning a few things.
On the back of a recent electric bill($99.82 total) is a delivery charge of $41.01, to pay for maintenance of the wires.
The problem arises when you have grid-tied solar panels feeding back into the system and your bill drops to ZERO.
Who is paying to maintain the grid, you only use it on odd occasions?
The solar people become free riders.
