I’ve got four adult kids. Only one has a tattoo. He had one done to honor a friend who drowned. My son assisted in the rescue attempt and initiated CPR.
The tattoo is a graphic illustration of a favorite Bible verse they and some other friends shared.
Most tattoo’s are just flat ugly. This one at least has some meaning behind it.
My nephew has a huge tattoo of his brother’s name who had been killed in a car accident tattooed on his back, from shoulder to shoulder.
He is a big, muscular guy, started his own company as a personal trainer, grew and expanded it, and even though the Covid BS nearly destroyed his business that he worked so hard at building and growing, he wouldn’t accept any offer of financial help from me. What a guy. All the respect in the world for him. Good looking guy, too. Complete shaved head, very muscular, actually reminds people of Mr. Clean.
That tattoo on him does not look bad. You can’t see it unless he has his shirt off. I have no problem with that kind of thing on anyone, even big ones like that, and as you said, it has meaning.
To me, it is the ones on the neck, arms, and hands that bug me out.
