I generally won’t have anything to do with people with tattoos. Same with piercings, etc. If they are going to disfigure their bodies, there’s something wrong with them.
Ditto that.
Some do it for the pain they endure.
Both putting them on and later taking them off.
Plus it gives them something “to talk about”.
“I got a new tattoo!”
“I was getting my tattoo of Stewie removed...”
Same here with those massive beards over the past two years that resemble the ISIS freaks............
Unless someone has them on their face, you won't see them so you won't know who has ink or holes concealed by their clothing or hair. You may be inadvertently associating with undesirables! Defectives, even!
Just the other day I noticed that the librarian has a green vine tattoo on her wrist! The spring weather and short sleeves expose some of them, but you never really know...
I am all for people getting tattoos if they want them. But...they WILL be judged on them, especially if they are visible, a lot of them, and cover large parts of exposed flesh.
I never judged anyone on tattoos back in the day, where you might see one on a forearm or bicep. Even on a shirtless sailor, a big one. But it was no big deal.
But now. Good gosh. All the way down the arms, on the neck, hands, legs, even the face...the tramp stamps...argh.
And the piercings. Sometimes I feel like I am on another planet.
