Utopia:
"Watching Utopia in the midst of a pandemic is a surreal experience. That’s because the series was filmed in 2019, before the emergence of COVID-19. Despite this fact, Utopia is mind-bogglingly timely (or untimely according to some) in 2020 as its story revolves around a pandemic, a rush for a vaccine, and a massive conspiracy by a big pharma company.
The nefarious plans of the villains are however thwarted by a ragtag group of nerds who discovered that an underground graphic novel has been predicting the emergence of several viruses through enigmatic symbols. What’s mind-boggling about this story is that the series itself appears to have predicted the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, Utopia depicts a system of mind-controlled slaves carrying out murders and false flag events to advance the villain’s agenda, combined with a whole lot of mass media manipulation and cover-ups.
The series is so close to our reality in 2020 that one cannot help but think: Is Utopia some kind of warning?"

I highly recommend the UK version from 2013 over the john cusack version. The 2020 version sux compared to it.

Totally agree. The actors in the U.S. version were, for some reason, borderline disgusting to me. I didn’t even make through the first episode.

“Being Human” had a lousy US remake
Just about the only show I have heard of that didn’t have a lousy US remake was “The Office”

So you are saying my family should do without ALL media just to uphold conservative principles? Netflix and Amazon are their only source of media.
Broadcast/basic cable/basic satellite TV is worthless hence I don’t subscribe to any of it. (Two terrestrial stations, government censored and controlled - GMA 7 and TV 5)
So basically you are saying that you/we are trapped and that there is/are no alternatives? We just have to take the beating and the lumps while they beat us over the head and we can’t do nothing about it, cause you know, we just have to have it cause there are no other choices or alternatives?
You know I remember when I was growing up, you know, when having principles and such mattered, we had only 5-6 TV channels to watch, that was it....all with an antenna.
You, as with others, follow your conscience.
Understandable that media or sources of media have become so paramount important today to so many despite those same sources of media having political ideological agendas, etc. that run contrary to tens of millions in this country. I suppose it is just easier to yell at the TV and/or a computer screen when our principles, values, etc. are steadily besmirched, villainized, etc., all the while paying them to continue to do such.
Anyhow, peace yo. We all do what we have to do, no matter how much it may or may not compromise our individual principles, values, etc.

Utopia (UK), made in 2013 and 2014, has mind-blowing (seemingly impossible) parallels to the current COVID situation, and i HIGHLY recommend it IF you can tolerate the extreme violence throughout the series as the absolutely ruthless UK Deep State wantonly eliminates any and all whom they feel is a threat to their plan to achieve Utopia by eliminating all but a half billion of the world’s population via a “vaccine” that they’re trying to panic the world into taking as a preventive for a genetically amped-up “Russian Flu” virus which they’ve introduced into the world solely to induce the demand for their “vaccine” ...
It’s really strange that NONE of the paid corporate streaming services will carry this series, and yet it’s available for free on youtube for those that know about it; it’s almost as if the corporate streaming services don’t want people to see this series.
We watched the series on our home theater system via our ROKU streaming box, but any network-connected “smart” device will do, but be sure to use close-captioning as the UK accents are extremely thick.
The recent bowdlerized U.S. version is utter PC dreck, so don’t even bother ...

Here it’s GMA-7 and TV-5 and that’s it. Wall-to-wall Tagalog-dubbed Korean Soap Operas. All with terrible reception (HOA does not allow external antennae). Basic Cable and satellite TV is the same. Lots of local garbage programming, 4 basketball channels for sports, a shit-ton of Chinese channels, BBC, FOX, CNN and CNA.
This isn’t 1970 anymore.
