It’s interesting how these folks live
This open marriage stuff has always fascinated me
You need heat to have a real relationship or marriage
You need to give a shit if your darling hot wife is heels back behind her head being pounded in some motel room somewhere by some stud who’s railing her into her own euphoric caterwaul
If that doesn’t bother you then you sure as hell should not have married her
I can’t speak for all men....but the things I’ve seen girls do with me ....the thought of them doing that with someone else is disturbing
It may make for good movie drama or porn themes but in real life when a woman has left you and you break down at 1130 or midnight and call....and she doesn’t answer or worse yet “I can’t talk right now why or you calling “ or double worst case....he answers gleefully...and proceeds to gloat over what he’s about to do to your soon to be ex wife or girlfriend
You mind goes crazy.....that’s when folks can get killed
So yes I marvel how folks manage stuff like this coolly ....I would say it helps if .....they are emotionally detached or unavailable
I’m talking guys on girls I assume women have this feeling too when their man is now doing to her what they did to current wife etc
One huge caveat
The rich and famous have options
Far more then we do
So often I get half-way through a post and say to myself, “Wait a minute, wardaddy must have written this!” And I’m right!
I was in my 20s the first time that a couple I knew fooled around with open marriage. There have been others, because stupidity has reruns. Mark I'd known from high school. Debbie was two years younger and very pretty.
A bunch of us had gone to a concert at Long Beach State but Debbie was missing. I asked where she was... "Oh, she's on a date with her psychology professor".
After that sank in a bit I asked "well... what about jealousy n' stuff?"
My friends were amused at my Medieval ideas about love and marriage and assured me that my dire predictions of disaster were ridiculous.
So Mark allowed his pretty young wife to bang her psychology prof for the rest of the semester without any objection. And then when summer came Mark arranged a week long camping trip with an old flame of his from high school.
If you guessed that this ignited a fury of jealousy in his faithless wife you win a prize. The marriage blew up along with Debbie's temper. Apparently their emotions were in fact stuck in the same Medieval world that I inhabited and hadn't made it to the 1970s. Go figure. At least no one got knifed or shot.
