A passage from one of her books was read out loud on Tucker's show last night. What a hoot.

Tucker promised more readings by the end of the week. Why wait? Well, maybe he needs lawyer approval.

I laughed out loud during that segment. The writing was awful. The phrase "purple prose" leaps to mind. I laughed especially hard at the "wicked thumbs" line. How can thumbs be wicked? I can see describing a glance, a smile, or a laugh as wicked, but thumbs? I enjoy a good romance novel once in a while, but bad writing grates on my nerves regardless of genre. I hope Tucker will give us more snippets of this literary gem. I'd love to see him make it a weekly segment.
