More reporting is being done because more ‘credible’ observers have been given permission to speak and report or are past the point of jeopardizing their jobs
The people speaking out today are no more credible than those that spoke yesteryear. What has changed is the reaction to those speaking out. For example, it was a career ender, and some say it still is, for any pilot to mention objects in the sky they come across that has unnatural characteristics. There are still those who believe in a God they have never seen but refuse to believe in or even accept that something strange or other off-world beings or that zoological creatures that there is clear evidence of. Funny how these same people believe that a God only created humans but no other beings.
