I used to not like mushrooms. I think they are an acquired taste, and I’ve acquired it. I love ‘em now. They are great in an omelet or on pizza. I don’t go much for the canned ones, though. Oven roasted is probably the easiest and least messy way to prepare them, although they are perfectly fine sautéed.
Do you like stuffed mushrooms? My wife and I will always order those as an appetizer.
Quite a few eastern Europeans live(ed) in our neighborhood. Went out mushrooming in the fall. My dad also knew which ones were safe. Can’t say I enjoyed them as a kid, but my adult tastebuds love them.
