26 Million seems to be modest considering the location and Hank’s net worth, I would have thought he lived in at least a 75 Million dollar house ..

Perhaps he has 3 $26,000,000 homes instead of one $75,00,000 one

Maybe it was $26 million when they bought it. But it actually is a "fairly standard" price tag for a mansion in that area - Brentwood, Palisades etc. OJ Simpson's Brentwood home sold for $12 million but that was quite a while ago.

Meanwhile, Denzel lives in style. I think he lives in a new-ish development above Bel Air - not too far from those other areas just on the opposite site of the 405 freeway. Way up in a newer development, all gated, all homes built for people who will drop $50 mil plus on a house.

This is the Spelling Mansion (built by late Aaron Spelling creator of many TV shows). Sold for $120 million. It's like 2 doors down from the Playboy Mansion which sold for $100 million. But the Spelling Mansion is 40+ years newer construction and way more lavish, just without the Playboy brand mystique:

Tom and Rita could probably afford either of those imo, but really what's the point? They have both done well in their careers and have future income too, but do you really need a 40 room house to raise a family? Probably $500,000 a month in maintenance, landscaping, service staff etc... and PROPERTY TAXES! I'm sure their $26M crib is done to the nines, and they get to see their family every day instead of everyone hiding out in their own wings of the house and you need a golf cart to get from the bedroom to the pool and an intercom system to speak to anyone. And, you can get a coastal breeze and scent of ocean salt in the air in the Palisades/Brentwood area you won't get in Beverly Hills, Bel Air or Holmby Hills.

Of course some of these giant homes probably have an "office wing" where various meetings and pitches and personal assistants congregate and produce shows... so they can get some write offs.
