About 3+ decades ago one of my cousins sold his share of a big national fast food franchise, as one of the founders.
He had 3 big time patents for breeding food critters.
So he had a boatload of money from the sale and future markets in the future.
Both NZ and Australia turned him down as a full time resident. He was told by both countries that they didn’t need billionaires retiring and not contributing.
