I don't disagree with anything you said. I was talking about the purpose of the vaccine. Some suggested that since the efficacy of the vaccine was the same as the survival from Covid the vaccine wasn't serving any purpose. It is serving an important purpose and that is preventing you from developing symptoms.

And yes, it won’t necessarily prevent new infections although it will greatly reduce it by reducing the time the virus survives in a host’s body.
