My theory is that there are millions of people (my son being one of them) who REALLY only want the J&J vaccine and are waiting for it because 1) it is more traditional and 2) you only need to get it once.
When J&J starts being available again, I think the #s will increase of those getting vaccinated.
I'm thinking it will be the rollout of the Novovax.

I think you’re dreaming....The vast majority of people that are even modestly committed to getting a vaccinated already have one.
There are a few people like your son and some stragglers that will continue to trickle in for the shot but I sincerely believe we are within 10 or so % of all that are going to receive it barring any monumental attitude alterations.

I got the J&J vaccine on Saturday at the VA.
I didn’t even get a sore arm, but was a little tired that evening. Nothing since.
And it protects against the variants, and so far has no need for a booster. It’s long lasting. How long is to be determined.

J&Js forgiving refrigeration requirements and one shot administration, also lend themselves to different modes of administration, like home delivery, and small mobile pop up kiosks.
J&J availability is just starting to open up again. About 10 million doses had already been delivered from the factories, that have not yet been administered.
I guess that this week and next, we will see how much J&J starts making a difference.
