Priceless! There was one moment in which Carroll O’Connor almost laughed — his face remained still, but his eyes lit up just a little. (Unlike the Carol Burnett cast, who broke each other up in almost every skit!!) He was a master comedian. It used to drive me crazy because of my Irish relatives on one side whose disparaging manner of speaking was so much like Archie’s. Good to laugh at it!
