I have basic rule of thumb. When walking in the forrest always maintain situational awareness and carry a big bore revolver preferably in 44 mag.
I would hope her two dogs watched her six and gave her time to terminate the threat if she was armed.
Oh I forgot. In certain areas of CO firearms are very dangerous.
