And helped suppress wages by doubling the workforce.
Feminism was a complete disaster.
Depends on your definition of feminism.
To my mind there have been 3 incarnations...
1) Equality of opportunity.
2) Equality of outcome.
3) Men are the scum of the universe. Get rid of them.
I’m of the first go around. And while I think a parent, either parent, staying home with kids is ideal, it’s not always possible.
As to waiting longer in life...
Sometimes you can wait too long, and even better living through chemistry can’t help.
And waiting longer means you’re likely to be less a parent and more a grandparent. Age does take a toll.
And there’s a lot in addition to Feminism II and III to blame.
No fault divorce, societal acceptance of adultery, shacking up, single parenthood by choice.
Cultural rot.
I feel for young adults now. We’ve left them a mess.
I was dead center in the home of a Mother who would not work, and the vast majority of women did not either. The things I heard listening through doors. These lightly educated ladies argued this point at least one time every get together. The ladies were stealing mens jobs, they knew it. One of their friends was a welder. All 5 foot 120 lb, bragged how the male welders would lug her equipment up and down the ladders and stairs on the Navy ships they worked on. They ended up giving her a dedicated helper that did everything but put on the hood and hold the working end.
Male cops were required to be 6 feet, Troopers 6’2”. Firemen had to pick up and place a 32’ ladder alone, and carry a 200 lb man down it over their shoulder. All of those things are no longer required, because very few women should apply.
Rodney King started with a female cop confronting him, Mr King threw her off like a child, and here we are today. Just the other day, some black fellow with a knife went after a cop with a taser. A man was off to the left, the woman to the right. You could actually see him assess which one to attack. He ended up shot full of holes, likely because the female officer did not intimidate him at all.
Women, get back in the home, raise your children, and work part time if you must. You are destroying your mans livelihood and your childrens mental health.
