A St. Louis DJ learned the hard way that tattoos are forever, but jobs aren’t.
Less than a week after getting the station’s logo tattooed on his arm, WIL (92.3 FM) Country-music jock Mason Schreader got a tattoo of his station WIL on his arm last month and less than a week later, was laid off.
Schreader, half of the morning-drive “Mason & Remy Show” with Zachary Hoesly, took to Twitter to announce his departure from the show with a photo of him featuring his new tattoo with the note: “Hahahahahhahhahahhahahha I just got fired.

It’s like getting you future ex’s name inked into your arm.
That looks like one of those temporary tattoo stickers.
D’oh!
Dumbass. I was in morning radio for 25 years. In 1998 we had a show us your “Nelson” contest. Winner gets 2 free tickets to see Nelson, the sons of Ricky Nelson who had all of 2 hits. A girl had “Nelson” tattooed on the back of her neck. She won. Think she regrets it?
I suggest one in thick black ink that says
WON'T
That would have been wise. Radio isn’t known for job stability. Programming decisions result in talent being fired without remorse
Tattoo (noun): A permanent reminder of one’s temporary insanity.
You have to be kidding me. Weren’t Nelson washed up by 1992? Did anyone even remember who they were in 1998?

Skin graffiti to show off your individuality by getting ink like everyone else desparate for attention.
He could just append, “sux”
The rewards of being stupid.
Our society is drowning in morons
Radio stations are the worst. One time my wife’s station got sold. The first day with the new owners, the office manager bought some danish and donuts for the welcoming breakfast.
The new owners met her in the parking garage, thanked her for the breakfast treats. And fired her before she got in the building. They took the treats. And did not reimburse her.
One time my wife found out she was getting laid off when the General Manager posted the announcement on the bulletin board. She read it on the way into her office.
Anyone getting a tattoo of their Radio station clearly hadn’t been in the business very long. Nothing lasts.
This is why “Mom” is so popular.
It is employment at will.
Well, at least he has a venerable callsign on his arm. WIL-AM (now defunct) got its start in the 1920’s. Its antenna was across the levee from where I grew up, and it was the only station I could hear on a cheap crystal radio I had. He has a bit of history there, even if he himself is history.
Johnny Depp changed his “Winona Forever” tattoo to “Wino Forever” when they broke up.
Amen. I had a Woodstock (Peanuts) on my forearm when I was 18. Couple years ago, I paid a dermatologist $500 for two sessions to excise the tattoo.
Talked about laser but since there are no standards on type of ink, depth etc., he advised against it & recommended cutting it out.
I could be off on the year but no, I’m not kidding.
Where I work if a person shows up for an interview with a tattoo, they’re automatically disqualified. Of course we find other ‘excuses’ for canceling that person, which isn’t difficult if they have a tattoo.
