In 3rd grade oh so many decades ago, one of our substitute teachers (English), got frustrated that the class wasn’t listening to her while she was writing stuff on the chalkboard. She turned around and yelled “Shut the fuck up!”. Then proceeded to bribe us all to be quiet about the slip with “free popcorn day” (it was a treat for those who made 100 on the spelling test on Fridays only). To my knowledge, no one ever told, and likely by now, most (99% of the class other than myself) have probably forgotten it even.

He was probably like me: at the end of my tether. Thank God I don’t have a serious job. I tutor (virtually) but only for a few hours a week. I avoid such topics, which is easy with math and science.
