A Wordpress site using something simple like Divi Themes.
View this example instead. Much simplier. I edit the 2nd link below to do away with most of the col- widths so instead of 12 I have 3 instead.

I cannot show my edits so ignore the link as the example by W3schools is too complicated. You can reduce their 12 columns to just 3.

Example of a layout. Modify then click on the Run button. Resize the browser window or move the center divider to see changes.

User friendly, easy to update, easy to *distribute* the updating to multiple admins if you like, easy to configure. Open source, free.

Use wordpress blogging software, but instead of creating the blog, just use the page creation function.
I surf the internet, and the majority of big sites are clearly running Wordpress, and just using a specific template over it to make their site look unique.
Here is what you do - go to your host and install the Wordpress install, or ask them to do it. Then just start screwing with it to see how pages and menus work with the default template. Just write “Here I am,” to see how the text displays and where, for stuff like titles and bodies. It is very intuitive and you should pick it up quickly. Then look at the free templates out there, and find one which captures what you want the site to look like, and install it using the menu in the Wordpress backend to find your way to the templates page.
It all sounds very complicated, but nobody showed me anything, and I figured it out just by taking the first step of installing Wordpress and trying it out. Everything just revealed itself as I used it.
a free CMS like Joomla says tons of time and gives ability to modify on the fly
For Mac, you could look at RapidWeaver + a 3rd party RapidWeaver Template for the design.
I use the CoffeeCup HTML Editor. Nothing I do is very complex but the code checking and simultaneous view feature are very helpful.
If you’re comfortable with editing html then using templates is better than using a wysiwyg editor.
For example, https://clarity.design/ provides html templates with css styling. Just copy their examples into your site and plug in your text, images, etc.
Man... So many are so far behind on what is out there now. No need to build or or write your own at all. There are tons of open source free turnkey complete boxed website scripts out there ready to just drop in and add a database for storage. Some that don’t even need a database if you are not going to need much capacity.
What are you looking for? Just a blog to show your wares with contact?, Appointment software + pages? Medical records and appointments? Forums? File sharing site? Store? Social media platform clones like Twitter and Facebook? There are turnkey boxed scripts for about everything.
And of course because they are open source and not encrypted you can tweek them any way you like to customize them after they are installed. I have played with about 200 of these and there are some very good boxed up websites out there. And if you have a static IP address you can run them on a Linux computer from your home.
Right. Clever way to advertise your services.
There are free drop in turnkey boxed scripts which have all those features already included...
Bkmk
Absolutely... With boxed turnkeys like Joomla and others there is absolutely no need to beat yourself up building your own. All the features are already there, just go to the back admin and toggle them on or off as you like. And the addons are incredible for adding any other features you might like such as photo albums and such. Just upload them into the addon folder in the directory and turn them on in the site admin and it is installed and ready to go. :)
Tech ping... :)
Thank you Sir...
