“...with astronauts on board told to buckle up and prepare for a crash, Nasa has revealed...”
*****************************************
LOL — I’m fairly certain that the astronauts on board are ALWAYS buckled up during launch. Maybe there’s additional buckling up capabilities available?
Never mind... this was after they were already in orbit.
It was seven hours into the flight, so they were in orbit already. They ended up coming within 45 kilometers of the object.
Its like a winch thing it brings your head down to your ass so you can kiss it good bye
told to buckle up....
By the flight attendants who sternly said to stop walking down the aisle to flirt, to sit down and buckle up and stop smoking cigarettes.
That was pretty clear.
They put on their pressure suits...
Well, more likely the suits were already mostly on. So they completed the last few steps to be ready.
Bad reporting headline - they were told to put on their full suits just in case as there was not time to maneuver to avoid IT - but IT never came closer than 45 miles
