When my mother was on hospice last year, she could hardly eat - but would eat a MacDonald’s Filet o Fish sandwich and fries, which I faithfully brought her every day until the end. She got to the point where she couldn’t eat it but just wanted to smell it. It brought her great joy to take it out of the bag and unwrap it.

My local Ralphs in So Cal sometimes puts out a fish sandwich with their rotisserie chickens on Fridays. Beats the heck out of the McD’s one - much thicker, better quality fish and high quality American cheese. Unfortunately, I don’t see it every Friday - and I check. Can’t be beat if you like fish sandwiches.

Wow, Brits are as dumb as Americans!

But not everyone seems confident about what exactly they’re eating when they consume the breaded fish. In the United Kingdom, where fish sticks are known as fish fingers, a survey revealed that one in five young adults believes they are actually the fingers of fish.
