Seattle – A Brooklyn, New York, man was arrested late yesterday in SeaTac, Washington, on criminal charges related to his alleged plan to travel to Washington State for sexual abuse of a minor.
According to court documents, Rajesh Singh, 28, began communicating with an undercover officer in August 2020 about his desire to travel to Washington State to sexually abuse a child under the age of 12. The undercover officer was participating in an internet-based chat platform known to be used by individuals interested in child exploitation and child exploitation imagery. The undercover agent created a fictitious daughter under the age of 12, and Singh communicated extensively about his desire to rape the child and film the sexual assault. At various times in the chats, Singh indicated he had previously molested children. Singh was observed in New York getting on a flight to Seattle, arrived at Sea-Tac, and took a shuttle to an area hotel and was arrested there by agents with Homeland Security Investigation. Singh appeared in U.S. District Court in Seattle today and remains detained.
Rajesh Singh is charged with Aggravated Sexual Abuse of a Child Under Twelve, Attempted Production of Child Pornography, and Attempted Enticement of a Minor. If convicted, Singh faces a mandatory minimum 30 years in prison and up to life in prison. A federal district court judge will determine any sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
Acting U.S. Attorney Tessa Gorman of the Western District of Washington and Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent in Charge Robert Hammer made the announcement.
Agents with Homeland Security Investigations are investigating the case.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Matthew Hampton is prosecuting the case.

A criminal complaint is merely an allegation and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

This appears to be a man negotiating with an adult woman for opportunity to rape her 12 year old daughter. As I’ve seen this before, apparently there are half-dead sociopaths who traffick their own children and this man thought he scored one.

I remember the TV program “To Catch A Predator”. Idiots would agree via text, email, private messaging to travel a few states away when they thought the kid’s parents were going to be away from home to have sex with a child.
They were amazingly stupid or is it amazingly evil because even after being captured in those sting operations, they would then be captured again, and again. There is a deadness and a sociopathy - they just prey on kids and they make no effort to stop, and they sit there looking crestfallen when arrested AGAIN by the same people AGAIN for trying the same crime AGAIN.
IT seemed like a drug addict looking for a fix in an unthinking, past caring, sort of way.
There are tons of free lancers on You Tube who catch predators trying to hook up with minors. One of my guilty pleasures is seeing the “OH SH!T” moment when they realize they’re screwed.

It is to a certain extent. The speaker showed how children controlled and reeled in. They set up accounts and put out there and in less than a minute the ‘child’ is targeted. That quick.
The Bible speaks of a seared conscience and it surely must mean what you spoke of ‘the deadness’ of the individual.
I heard about cybersecurity, drugs, and this child sex business.....so depressing......I wonder if we aren’t toast. Maybe we can reach a point of mourning for our nation.
I've seen that in a couple of these arrests. Wouldn't it be easier for the Feds to shut it down?
For every guy arrested, there is probably another that succeeds in talking to a real child. Just close the site down!!
It wasn’t an agent posing as a child. It was an agent posing as a negligent parent willing to hand over the fake child for abuse; for payment, I assume.
I don’t know if I could fake it like that. Even though I wouldn’t be putting a real child in danger, it’s just that psychologically disturbing to me. That’s a character role I couldn’t get into, and I’ve been playing tabletop and turn-based text RPG’s since I was about ten.
I expected it to be one of the Cuomo boys.
They have to cycle agents out of those types of jobs regularly and put them in something else completely unrelated. They also provide counseling and monitoring for them. You’re absolutely right that the psychological toll for such a job is heavy and that burden can quickly become too great to bear.
“NY Man” but is there more to the story? Is Rajesh Singh an illegal alien, overstayed his visa, or here on an H1B visa? They often try to hide those things.

From a country where raping young girls and young women is so bad several countries have issued travelers advisories about it. They even have a phrase for it: “Eve teasing”
And we continue to import them into the US by the plane load.
Be glad that we have law enforcement people who can work these soul-wrenching child porn/abuse cases. This includes the field agents of the FBI, the same for DHS (its DC office is corrupted), and decent AUSA’s (I worked with some on other types of cases and they were very competent).
Then you have the locals who are paid Soros judicial whores. They’re just as bad as the child molesters because they harm more people in the “catch and release” practices.
I’m surprised Homeland Security is involved. Isn’t this outside their scope?

I have a friend who does that, but not for the internet . He has a team including a woman posing as an underage teenager. They confront the perp and make him face his guilt. They present him with The Gospel. And they keep tabs on him as he tries to change.
Many of the men are church goers, and a few have been pastors. They resigned and managed to get free of the addiction. They break down sobbing over what they have done.
His investigators make sure the guys aren’t going back to th Er or wicked ways.
When I see “Department of Justice”, all I can think of is a stolen US presidential election and a DOJ that did nothing to stop it.

By letting the site stay up law enforcement knows where the pervs are and can monitor the site. They probably save quite a few kids that way.
Shut the site down and then law enforcement has to spend months scouring the net looking for the sicko’s new home base. Probably lose a lot more kids that way.
Law enforcement knows they can’t catch every one so they do the best they can catching the stupid ones. It does serve to make the less stupid keep a lower profile.
