“life in prison” does NOT mean he will spend the rest of his life in prison. It is a sad, sick joke! Not a funny one! I dealt with a guy sentenced to 999 months, that’s roughly 83 years. He was out in less than 4 yrs. This was NOT unusual, it just stands out in my memory as just one of the examples that disgusted me about the whole morass they call “the criminal justice system” at that time. It is far worse today.
