All had major health problems.
Two were a couple that took care of grandkids, who went everywhere.
The third took care of a great grandchild who also was in/out of the home.
Sickly people taking care of other's children is not the best decision.
Had a talk again with my Mom about not touching the great grandkids.
So sad.
We have friends whose great grands have watched their little great grand baby, since day one, and throughout this SCAM-DEM-ic.
They just attended his 2nd birthday party.
All are well.

Children 14 and younger seem to have some natural immunity to Covid. Researchers aren’t sure why, but it may be that their immune system operates differently than that of adults.
It’s also possible that young children have very few and very mild symptoms when they do get it, which would put their elderly relatives at risk because their grandchildren wouldn’t look sick at all. That fits with your warning to your mother regarding touching her great grandkids.
My 97 yr old mother got Covid from a caretaker, but her symptoms were mild and she recovered in about two weeks. You can’t count on that. Sure worried the rest of us. You just don’t know how this virus will affect you. There’s been no past exposure to it unlike with influenzas. We have no antibody “memory” for it, unless we catch it or unless we get vaccinated.
