Sad but true. This race card crap is BS. We had two black recon team leaders in my unit in RVN. Both SFC’s were awesome. We did not judge by skin color. We, all SF NCO’s and officers, judged by one’s capability to lead in combat. I had a black SFC from my unit at FT. Bragg’s Womack Army Hospital in late May, June, July 69. His wife had to feed him three times a day as he was shot from arm to arm/shoulder to shoulder in Cambodia. He could not move either arm/hand/ etc. Yes, we had great NCO’s.
