I grew up in SE Missouri and I miss those magnolias.
It has been a very pretty Spring here. Redbuds and dogwoods are just finishing out and soon we'll have the scent of the Black Locust trees in the air. Love those. The magnolias are always such beautiful trees, I am grateful when we don't get big winds that take the petals down too early.
We actually have a few in New York City. Secret: They are near subway stations, so the roots are kept nice and warm.
