Obsolete Man is a good one have watched it a few times. Also loved “The Lives of Others”, which I watched last night for the first time. Amazing film about socialism. Mark Levin highly recommended it on a show about a month ago but didn’t say anything about it. He doesn’t talk about movies ever unless they are WWII monies. He just said he thought everyone should see this movie. I agree now.

by what I understand Rob Serling was a leftist, and followed the demoncrats....

back then leftist were all for free speech, free association, etc etc....it was all about freedom, liberty and they had a great fear of totalitarianism....

like my leftist history teacher in HS....it was all about questioning govt.....to this day I think about his teaching and how it actually applies to our current situation....

why is it that what was once formerly known as liberalism /leftist has turned into complete backing of a totalitarian government....

now, We're the radicals for wanting free speech, free association, etc etc....

we're the radicals now...

The Obsolete Man originally had a different closing narration.

The closing narration, as broadcast:

The chancellor, the late chancellor, was only partly correct. He was obsolete. But so is the State, the entity he worshiped. Any state, any entity, any ideology which fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete. A case to be filed under “M” for “Mankind” - in The Twilight Zone.

Serling’s original narration was longer, but the middle section was cut for broadcast. As scripted, the original narration reads as follows (cut section between asterisks):

The chancellor, the late chancellor, was only partly correct. He was obsolete. But so is the State, the entity he worshiped. *Any state, entity, or ideology becomes obsolete when it stockpiles the wrong weapons: when it captures territories, but not minds; when it enslaves millions, but convinces nobody. When it is naked, yet puts on armor and calls it faith, while in the Eyes of God it has no faith at all.* Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete. A case to be filed under “M” for “Mankind” - in The Twilight Zone.
