We better alert all our family and friends to the idiots who want to limit methane gas because that is just a control idea to make us vegetarians. Look at Bill Clinton. Do you want to look like that? Give me meat. Besides the processing to make meatless protein is likely much more damaging with much more artificial ingredients than real food. People can be evil and stupid.
BTW, there are plenty of non-meat, non-processed protein foods. To each his or her own. I’d guess that meat only comprises around 5-10% of my diet nowadays, and I feel much healthier than I did when I was younger and attempted to adhere to the so-called “food pyramid” we were brought up with.
“Bill Clinton is a vegetarian? Who knew. And here I thought he looked sickly and pathetic because his sick and debauched life had caught up with him!

You have another good point about BC, no doubt. Perhaps you misunderstood my point because you have limited your meat intake for more plant based protein. That really has nothing to do with what I was referencing. My daughter in law who is a dietitian would applaud your choice. It is difficult getting adequate protein without eating meat. A person has to be very intentional and then be aware of the extra calories from non animal sources. I have been recording my intake for a few weeks and I found this fact to be true.
To be clear, the political push to force the vegetarianism on all of us in order to “clean up” the environment is why I made my post. It is becoming clear that the aim is doing away with ranching and animal production or strictly limit it. The outcome one day will be only the elite would enjoy a good steak. B12 is most available in beef (not exclusively) and vegans run more risk in deficiency. Look into B12 deficiency. When you look at the meat substitutes there are many additives trying to make it appealing. Lots of processing. The natural sources you use are not the ones I am thinking about. Sams Club has more meatless choices recently. I have to think it is part of the push and I am aware that some people are trying to eat vegan. People should feel good about their personal choice but not try to brain wash the public and legislate personal choice because they think is a virtue.
Meat lovers/producers better wake up.
