WASHINGTON – Over the past week, President Donald Trump has axed his defense secretary and other top Pentagon aides, his second-in-command at the U.S. Agency for International Development, two top Homeland Security officials, a senior climate scientist and the leader of the agency that safeguards nuclear weapons.
Engineering much of the post-election purge is Johnny McEntee, a former college quarterback who was hustled out of the White House two years ago after a security clearance check turned up a prolific habit for online gambling.
A staunch Trump loyalist, McEntee, 30, was welcomed back into the fold in February and installed as personnel director for the entire U.S. government. Since the race was called for President-elect Joe Biden, McEntee has been distributing pink slips, warning federal workers not to cooperate with the Biden transition and threatening to oust people who show disloyalty by job hunting while Trump is still refusing to acknowledge defeat, according to six administration officials.

Now, as the recently named White House director for presidential personnel, McEntee, 29, has been put in charge by Donald Trump of canning federal employees – not footballs – suspected of harboring secret anti-Trump sentiments.
McEntee summoned cabinet liaisons to the White House last week to tell them to root out Trump critics in their ranks, according to reporting by Axios. McEntee has also put a freeze on political appointments and told colleagues that the White House would be selecting cabinet deputies from now on, according to the New York Times.
The sudden conferral on the young McEntee, a former close personal aide to the president and reported favorite of the first lady, of such broad power over thousands of civil service careers is highly unusual in the history of US government, according to public administration experts.
Pres. Trump wasn’t half wrong. What most didn’t know ... UV blood irradiation was used in the 50’s. It gave way to drugs that were more effective.
I was sort of following on varius twtter accounts anti-lockdown etc protests all over the place, and many in the UK. Proterstors have been viciously attacked by the police, beaten and arrested - these are entirely peaceful protests, over the last year, many with huge attendance, and also in smaller cities. If any protestors were violent at the recent one (haven’t watched), this is unusual.
Horrible what the British government has been doing to the actual British population, for many years.
A few years ago I did a lot of reasearch to find out what strengthens the immune system. Exposure to dirt or illness does not strengthen it, oddly enough. All such theories are based on one study involving families with children and a dog, not replicated or shown by any other studies.
Mine takes a swipe at you when you try to pull your hand away when you’re petting her. She’s 18 and she came down with kidney dysfunction which I understand is very very common in old cats, but she almost starved to death before we figured out what was going on. However! I’ve been feeding her to try to get some weight on her and she went up a half pound last week and I have a feeling she’s going to be up another half pound this week. We check every week because she’s getting fluids at the vet. Miss Kitty has a new lease on life! So happy.

Where’s the Accountability For California’s $31 Billion Unemployment Scandal?

Was your ancestor with Hugh Mercer? Simon Fraser? (those are the only two Scottish General names I know.) I understand Mercer was a great man, lost too soon at Trenton.
