Cryphonectria parasitica was responsible for the decimation of the American chestnut. Five billion trees on the eastern seaboard were destroyed by a fungus. It started in 1905 and took a few decades. Do these clowns cry a tear over that? They probably have never seen a chestnut tree. My heart does not bleed for these narcissistic clowns.

So are the Dutch Elm disease (killed most of the American Elms) and the Emerald Ash Borer (in process of mass killing of American Ashes).
