Heads up. Today’s death count was a 5% increase over same day previous week. It will generate an upturn in the curve.
Note that Michigan has the highest deathcount today, even over Calif, despite population diff. The cases per million are not hugely different in red vs blue counties there. Michigan’s 90 deaths today was after 81 last week. Calif’s was over a 30 death increase.
Many states were upticks. Arizona, PA, Utah. Texas only declined 1 death.
This looks a great deal like the death count decline is over. Much like last year.
Clarifying, when I say uptick I mean vs same day previous week. Counts vary widely from day to day, so the correct comparison is the same day of the prior week.
A one day uptick and you're predicting that the death count decline is over?
I wouldn't say that.
Meanwhile, dailey cases declined almost 25% compared to last Tuesday. That's a better indicator of what the death count will be like in the future.
