Authorities in Panama have intercepted an unlikely smuggler - a fluffy white cat, bearing an assortment of drugs in a pouch tied to its body as it tried to enter a prison.
The feline felon was stopped outside the Nueva Esperanza jail, which houses more than 1,700 prisoners, in the Caribbean province of Colon, north of the capital Panama City on Friday.
'The animal had a cloth tied around its neck' that contained wrapped packages of white powder, leaves and 'vegetable matter', according to Andres Gutierrez, head of the Panama Penitentiary System.

Guard: “Warden, you’ll never guess what we found...”
Warden: “If it’s a white cat with contraband, just give it to me for processing. Someone will pay for this...!”
♫ narcocat ♫ narcocat ♫ does what a narcocat does...
Not so purrfect if it got caught.
♫ then he poops in your shoe..
I had to take felons to be incarcerated there. I was in awe of the place even if I only got as far as intake. The stone floor was worn deep from the hundreds of years of chains being dragged by prisoners leg irons from the entry door to the front desk. Never screw up in Panama.
One of our cats was a prison kitten. Horrid sicko inmates were kicking it and would have killed it.
Thank you for giving that kitty peace at last!
