“Louie Louie” was a horrid piece of music if you ask me. Too simple and too repetitious IMO. But what do I know? I’ve only been playing rock for 50 yrs or so.
Why does the general public tend to die in their late 70s but these domestic enemies in political office live past it? Pelosi, Biden are all past the average life span. Is it Satan keeping them alive?
What made that record to me was the drumming which was phenomenal, just right in the pocket in terms of groove and feeling. From what I understand it they recorded the whole thing with only one microphone hanging from the ceiling and for whatever reason it worked, just really rocked out on the playback. but I never get tired hearing that record solely because of the drumming. Just listen how he gets back into the verse after the “Louie louie” chorus, that snap into a perfect beat. That’s what made the record in my opinion
