A World War II era aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing in the ocean during the Cocoa Beach Air Show on Saturday.

A real Bush move right there.

Wreck 2 more and he’ll be eligible to run for President.

Although it was an unfortunate event, it was a well-executed water landing.

Landing means land, right? I know the term, “water landing,” but what’s the proper term for a plane going into the water? Ditch? Splash down?

Bush the 1st was a legitimate war hero. Had he been captured by the Japanese, he would have been interrogated, and probably eaten. Should have stayed away from politics.

Bush the 2nd made a terrible decision bases on bad information from the intelligence community. Costs many soldiers their lives and maimed many more. Should have stayed away from politics.

John McCain was the plane killer in your mixed up metaphor. He lost two planes in training and operations the was shot down over North Vietnam.

President Bush was shot down in WWII off of Le Shima. Documentary evidence exists that the Japanese tortured then cannibalized hearts and livers of downed US airmen there. He was the youngest US Navy aviator at the time, an achievement in it's own right.

McCain was also aboard the Forrestal during the July 29, 1967 fire. Although some said it was his fault, it’s never been proven and it is pretty stupid to think so. It was an electrical “fault” that fired a Zuni from an F-4B Phantom that started the whole mess. McCain was an A-4 driver on the deck at the time.

Now that’s done, he is gone from this earth and it’s better to say nothing about the dead if one cannot say something nice.

With no working engine, the pilot couldn’t do a lot of choosing. Plane probably on the edge of stalling, turning would have been a bad idea. Managed to miss everyone.

Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing. A great landing is when they can use the aircraft again.

Not sure about the walkaway part, or if "swim away" can be used instead.
