Billy (there was always a Billy in my class, in each of the 8 Catholic grade schools I attended) would spend a lot of time with Sister and her tri-cornered metal rule because...he was always asking questions just to derail the discussion. His favorite question was “Why” “Why does God live in Heaven, Sister? “Why do we hafta die, Sister?”
so ya, Billy was annoying. He wasted our time, but we did get plenty of satisfaction and laughs with his corner time and the occasional ruler whacks.

Billy was always a teachers pet. But for the life of me, I’ve never seen people so into something not want to share the details with the world. I did get a decent response from someone. But mostly it’s been find it yourself. That’s not the response of my pastor. Not the leader of my small groups. Nor my mentors. They are fountains of sharing information, insights, experiences should someone have questions. I’ve never heard one of them say do your own research. So why is this so different?
