I’m even more reluctant than you probably; I’ve never joined a social media platform, except for FR, of course.

Telegram is the most awkward of the new crop to view on the PC, but it seems, as with so many others, you need to also have a smartphone in order to sign up (and, I presume, have a better viewing experience). That counts me out. Getting so tired of being told that media is supposedly “too big” to view, and comments that are invisible (the new gimmick that they use to reel people in - “sign in to read 3,582 comments!”).

Twit and Fartbook may be run by sociopaths, but at least you can navigate them easily (and see the comments) without signing up... these other new platforms should all buy a clue. sigh

I don’t disagree.

Telegram was a little awkward for me at first, after being spoiled by the inimitable ease and user friendly FR— the most sophisticated social platform-concept, Ever!

I disconnected one year ago from TV, the landline, and ditched that hateful laptop and “Blinky” the wifi, for my move.

Stuck, then, with only a not-Smart phone and a bitty keyboard, but, so Loved turning the savings into more Fun-money that I’m not going back. (Yet.) (So far.)
(Maybe).

Repulsed by FB and Twitter from their conception, and their creepy founders, and my meany PC puts me in a corner, electronically. I can’t DO anything. But type.

As an info addict wading into the Awakening, I found Telegram irresistibly exhilarating, but so far, only at Whiplash 347. (No kiddies seem to play there, either.) 🤸‍♀️
