The gutless administrator has since apologized for using the word "hoax" here:

In another message to families on Wednesday, Kazmierczak apologized for using the word "hoax," saying in no way did he intend to "minimize the impact that racism or racist acts has on students and families who have been marginalized throughout history and in White Bear Lake Area Schools."

Word matter!

The word “hoax” has an underlying hint of humor in it. Events that have no humor in them whatsoever, and in fact are crimes, should not be called a hoax.

I am very frustrated when conservatives continue to call something like the investigation of the supposed Trump/Russia collusion a “hoax”. It was a criminal conspiracy by the FBI/DOJ. We should also not term things like that a joke. A word like “atrocity” is more appropriate.
