Minnesota high school student Avery Severson said on Friday that she was unsure what her future would hold after being falsely accused of sending racist messages to a Black classmate.
"I was just shocked when I saw that they were accusing me and I felt unsafe. I felt unsafe at school," Severson, a sophomore at White Bear Lake High School near St. Paul, told "Fox & Friends."
Severson was accused by a Black classmate of sending racist direct messages on Instagram.
"Screenshots from an alleged conversation between Precious Boahen, who accused Severson of racism, and an account called "GoWhiteBear," show the anonymous account using racial slurs. It’s unclear who was ultimately behind the anonymous account," according to the Daily Wire.
The so-called racist messages were discovered to be a "hoax" after White Bear Lake High School, the FBI, and the local police department investigated the situation. The district’s superintendent sent an email concluding that the Instagram messages were indeed a "hoax."

Local media has completely gone silent on this story.
Gee, I wonder why...
They’ve sunk below the level of “hall monitors” now.
The FBI is now investigating high school bullying allegations. Really?
WTF is wrong with America?
The fbi!? They’ve sunk below the level of “hall monitors” now.
The article doesn’t say if there would be any consequences for the hoaxer.
They were deeply disappointed that they didn't find an example of the epidemic white supremacist racism here.
However, they will keep looking.
They'll find some, eventually!
Gee, now that they know it was a Smollett-incident - you think they will expel the “hoaxer”?
No, just a threat to white people.
If they do, the local media will bury it.
We all know there won’t be. 👎
Don’t want to be sued for slander. Sandman put the fear of G-d into them.
As an aside, why is “black” now in caps? It’s a color, not a nationality. “African American” might be in caps, because it is explicitly nationalistic, but it’s awkward to use constantly. Too many syllables, pompous sounding, too. But if “black” is now in caps, shouldn’t “white” be, too? Since there are now gender identities, will “boy,” “girl,” “tranny” and “gay” soon be in caps? I’m just lazy, and prefer not to depress the shift key for frivolous reasons connected with wokeness. I do hope the Chicago Manual of Style’s latest edition hasn’t brought about this change. Has it? I don’t own a copy, so would like to know. If it did, we are on a slippery slope. Soon “cat” and “dog” will be in caps, too.
I believe it was Chris Rock who said when he’s at the ATM he isn’t worried about the media sneaking up behind him.
Fire those teachers.
Why are people still using social media?
First they federalized “hate” crimes. Now, we see that the fbi investigates them. This will keep the fbi from investigating bearded savages who blow up buildings and other real crimes.
Don’t any students ever settle their differences after school in the playground? Bad enough bringing guns and knives into such beefs. Now they got the G-Men involved? I guess they’ve temporarily run out of ways to smear deplorables and Trump their overlord, so this is busy work. Didn’t Hoover have them doing double duty to discover who’s Yehudi? I couldn’t resist.
oh yeah... I am white and went to an 80% black high school... one of my classmates was murdered in a gang hit literally in the back lot of the school... numerous others killed during my time there. The anti-white hate at the school was acute though I dodged most of it because I was a good football player)... nobody asked if I felt unsafe.
My view of these savages has never changed since my experience on the eastside.
She could have been murdered.
Smarten up.
Per the above, they know who did it.
But are refusing to say.
