"...negative posts about the restaurant started popping up on a local news forum and phony orders started coming in...eventually connected the posts with a competing Chinese restaurant in Felton, a few towns overI saw that coming. I have friends in the restaurant business. This is more common than one would think. Back in the day, fake reservations too.

I don’t buy this story for one second. Everybody KNOWS that Asian hate crimes are off the charts, nobody likes Asians, they are getting beat up and murdered left and right. (yes, /s)

Forgot to mention, great article. Thanks for posting. Next time I’m up that way I’ll definitely make it a point to eat there.
I’ve been supporting Julie at the Village Pantry in Los Altos during the pandemic. Julie is from Taiwan and she’s just a wonderful and warm person with wonderful food. She hasn’t had the hardships that Jenny at the Red Pearl has had, but it’s been a very rough year for Julie. She works so hard and such long hours.
