Keep in mind that these particular drones had lights. So, we know two things definitively: 1. The persons responsible were aware that they would be easily visible. 2. The Navy is OK with this event being public knowledge. Any explanation has to incorporate those two potentially quite revealing facts.
As to the Navy making the event public, it appears to be part and parcel of the drip, drip, drip disclosure of "something" by the Pentagon dovetailing with its report to the Senate Select Committee on Intel due in a few months.

Key points and excellent thoughts! In my mind both fight against the Alien Hypothesis, which in my strongest opinion is a concoction of pop culture and intelligence service misinformation. Whatever these are, NOT alien. Preposterous. We are somehow being manipulated to believe they are, but for what ultimate purpose I don’t know. But I don’t think it can be good.
Honestly, the UFO phenomenon is the singular most intersting story of my lifetime (I’m 56). I wonder why so many on here poo-poo it. It’s real. Just not Alien-real, IMO.
