I could very easily see fast food automation make changes to the way we have our food served to us. For example, instead of getting ready-to-eat hamburgers, I could see robots putting together "kits", with the raw materials -- meat, lettuce, onions, bun, condiments, fries -- where you as the consumer do the final assembly. You might even be able to customize your kit, so instead of a burger you could get a chicken paddy, or tofu slab, or something else.
