You can get internet only from Xfinity/Comcast through the cable coming into your house.
You just eliminate the TV portion that is about another $60-100/month.
That is the only way I can currently get high speed internet at my house in NH. There is no FIOS where I live.
I am paying Xfinity/Comcast to RENT their router for $10/month.
You can buy your own router. The one my son(my IT advisor) told me to buy was $240. So, it would take 2 years to pay it off.
They won’t let us split the two: Net and CATV, or nothing, and all their equipment, including hardware on the front of the condo, goes with them. I pay $221/mo for two 40” TVs and an 82” Samsung streaming TV, mounted on the LR wall.
