I hope they have dedicated lanes to enter the parking area. That is not exactly an upscale part of Chicago. And hopefully there is security.
Not the worst part of the city. Right next to the University of Chicago campus, which has gentrified much of the neighborhood north of the Midway. From there to Jackson Park including Woodlawn is mostly OK. Lots of students and university people. You should know that the Obamas, who have a house right there in the Woodlawn area wouldn’t expose themselves or their precious ego monument to the local talent. It will be carefully isolated from the bad blocks south of the Midway, and won’t have anything to offer to the local underclass. I bet it will have bulletproof glass for windows though, as it gets rather boisterous around there at night.
