Corporatism, better known as fascism.
Let’s start with some really high import tariffs. Force them to repatriate industry back here.
For a company like Delta whose bonds are rated Baa3 (one step above junk) by Standard and Poors and B by Moody’s (real junk), it does not seem like a good business idea to alienate your current and future customers by getting involved in Georgia politics regarding election laws.
Corporations Motto
The dollar in mightier than rights
“Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power.” — Benito Mussolini (1883 - 1945)
They’ve been too big for their britches since SCOTUS ruled that ‘corporations’ are ‘people.’
Yeah, well, so is Soylent Green!
“In the 2010 case Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission (FEC), the most sweeping expansion of corporate rights yet, the Supreme Court cited Bellotti in its highly controversial 5-4 ruling that political speech by corporations is a form of free speech that is also covered under the First Amendment. In 2014’s Burwell v. Hobby Lobby Stores, another 5-4 ruling by the Court granted the right of closely-held companies, which aren’t traded on the stock market, to file for exemptions to federal laws on religious grounds.”

Sometimes this works for ‘We The People’ but History shows it has mainly worked against us, which is par for the course. :(
Trump has shown the Republicans that their future is supporting the little guy, not big business. Spread that loud and clear across the country. Nail the Democrats for backing the elitists and big business. Sure, 90% of corporate donations go to the Dems, but that is small potatoes compared to donations from millions of voters.
The question is, does the Republican leadership understand this dynamic?
I’m not sure if Delta will be hurt in the long run. Most of my conservative friends who swore off the NFL a year ago eventually started watching again.
Your conservative friends are not very conservative or they are very weak.
I swore off the NFL four years ago after 50 years and never looked back.
“The question is, does the Republican leadership understand this dynamic?”
They do, but they’re so ‘disgusted’ by us ‘little people’ that they willing to die as a party, rather than answer our needs.
There are PLENTY of Americans, like Trump, and like 90% of the Republican base, who could step-in and represent a populist Republican Party. The problem is that the Country Club Republicans are fighting tooth-and-nail to keep their stranglehold on the party...but I do think their days are numbers.
Personally, I am trying to do my best to boycott these companies. But boycotting is really not in my nature, so I have tried a different approach. I proactively buy from those that share my values or are apolitical. I prefer the latter, since business should focus on business, not politics. Every moment and every dollar focused on politics increases prices of products and services. I don’t need a business to be a proxy for my politics. I rather lower priced goods.
Look at your budget and how much is spent at the grocery store. Leave the national name brands on the shelf.
They are all woke with few exceptions.
They fund the LEFTIST media.
Its a twofer.
Buy store/local brands.
With what’s in the water today many conservative parents have gay or lgbtqxyz kids and are forced to either love or toss dem. Most that I know assume acceptance and once that occurs you have surrendered.
Stop buying anything made in China and stop buying from Amazon who crushes small businesses, peddles counterfeit items made in China.
And boycott all 100 of these companies whenever possible - would love to see a list of these 100 CEO’s.
“Every penny you give to the Enemy is a penny the Enemy uses to destroy you.” - Andrew Torba, CEO of Gab
The far side calendar tell more about real life Larson sees things clearly.
A lot of the store brands are made by the big companies
