Haven’t heard what his wife is doing. I would guess she’s never gotten off that money train. Should have been so bad that she also would end up working for an hourly wage. Again I really don’t know what happened to her after the feds took what was readily available.

No real read on Madoff’s wife honestly. There’s women who are happy to have lots of money to spend and do their daily living in their own reality.
She may have a fund that was set aside with funds peeled off. I would imagine Madoff knew the risk and set that up for a “rainy day.”
He would explain nothing and just say, here it is. “Don’t touch it. Don’t tell anyone about it but if anything happens....”
