Because in truth many of them just want the world to be one big WOKE marketplace where people are absorbed with cosmopolitanism and consumerism. That is ultimately what is best for profits as far as they are concerned.

Because it is the Board of Directors that hire/place the top executives in their positions. The average shareholder has little say about, other than their annual shareholder conferences/conventions.
